Brief Biographical Sketch:
Tom Farthing has been a computer programmer, a teacher's aide in a special needs school and a change ringers for over 40 years. He loves showing people the intricacies of change ringing and how it develops concentration and a sense of interdependence. We explore the ancient art of English Change Ringing. Traditional English tower bells rotate through a full-circle which produces a powerful sound, but preclude the playing of "normal" music. However, a set of bells can be rung in succession to create a ribbon of sound. If the ringers ring the bells in rapid, structured, unique permutations, you have the challenging, fun, interdependent game of Change Ringing
