H667: Ancient Greek Science Fiction: Verae Historiae in Rainstorm Spring 2021 (May. 15 - 16, 2021)
What's on the moon? We know now because of advanced technology, but what if you had no idea? In this class, we will explore the imagination of second-century author Lucian. In Verae Historiae, Lucian describes a fantastical adventure to the moon. We will read passages from the novel in translation (no Ancient Greek required) and explore Lucian's imagination as well as our own by drawing what Lucian describes. Required materials: something to draw with and an open mind

H469: Latin101: The Endings! in Rainstorm Fall 2020 (Dec. 05 - 06, 2020)
Have you ever wondered where words like "magnitude" and "neonatal" come from? Have you ever wanted to sound like Harry Potter? Then, you might want to learn Latin! This class will be a fun introduction to the language and culture of the Romans. I suggest this if you are wondering what foreign language to take in school/college.

H470: I Spy: Greco-Roman Mythology in Rainstorm Fall 2020 (Dec. 05 - 06, 2020)
Learn the mythological stories and their meanings through observing visual art. This will be an interactive class!
