Brief Biographical Sketch:

I'm a four year splash veteran who loves to give historical stories lecture style about various events throughout history. My aim is to make learning history fun, telling it as a story and an epic and chaotic adventure of people, nations and ideas.

H622: The Crusades in Rainstorm Spring 2021 (May. 15 - 16, 2021)
The Crusades are one of the most baffling, bizarre, and counter-intuitive events to ever happen in the history of Humanity as a species. One thousand years ago, tens of thousands of Christians in Europe decide to walk three thousand miles through unfamiliar and hostile territory just to claim a city half-way across the known word. Why did they do this? How did they do this? Did they succeed? This class will tell the story of the crusades, lecture style, and attempt to answer these questions which still baffle historians to this day.


H478: The Persian Wars 500-480 BCE in Rainstorm Fall 2020 (Dec. 05 - 06, 2020)
This course will cover the famous Persian Wars between the Persian Empire and a coalition of Greek City-States headed by Athens and Sparta. It will be lecture based but with plenty of room for questions and observations.
