This course hopes to shed some light on the history and culture of one of the most little-known cltures of the Punic people living in northwestern Africa during antiquity - a semetic group based out of modern Tunisia - a trading empire and the greatest adversary to the Roman empire.
H646: The Steppe Nomads: Scythians in Rainstorm Spring 2021 (May. 15 - 16, 2021)
The aim of this course is for you to learn about the steppe lands stretching from modern-day Hungary to Mongolia, and how they created one of the most fearsome and interesting warrior cultures in all of history - the Scythians, with their nomadic lifestyle. The same lands also birthed the Alans, Huns, and Mongols, who all had enormous impacts on Eurasian History.
