Brief Biographical Sketch:

Hi! I'm Jena, and I love anthropology! I graduated from UCLA with a BA in Anthropology, and I went on to get a MA in Social Science, with a Medicine, Science, and Technology Studies concentration, from UC Irvine. I'm currently working on my second graduate degree, in Library and Information Science. Right now, I'm a preschool teacher in Northern California.

"Anthropology is the perfect alliance of cultural studies and biological science" - The Hominid Rap Most students don't hear about the amazing field that is anthropology until they are already in college. This class will be a crash-course introduction into the discipline-- one you might remember when it comes time to pick a major on college apps! We'll look at some of the most interesting aspects of each of the four subfields: Cultural, Linguistic, Physical, and Archaeological!
