Splash Biography

When you hear “physics,” you might think of a class taught in high school, or as headlines about detecting gravitational waves or photographing a black hole. However, the road from first experiencing physics to active research is often confusing, and it looks very different for each person. In this seminar-style class, five early-career physicists describe their journeys to physics, and their exciting study of stars, atoms, materials, plasmas, and quantum gravity. The class will conclude with a question-and-answer session where students can ask about science, career paths, life in physics, or anything else.
